Oh Dear !.

According to reports circulating on 'Harry's Place', and a number of other internet sites this afternon, the entire membership list of the BNP, as of Sept 08, has been leaked online. Given that this is in breach of the data protection act nioone is prepared to say exactly where it is, but apparently it makes for interesting reading as it contains details of jobs, hobbies and the like.

Much as I dislike the BNP and what they stand for, I must admit to having qualms about this sort of thing. Some of those crowing elsewhere should remember what can be done to them today can be done to you tomorrow, although I must admit I would like to see the BNP line dancers in action. What it says about that organisation is, how can you claim to be able to run a country when you cant even keep your membership lists secure.

UPDATE. I know where it is now, but I aint telling.

Did anyone catch the interview on TV with a BNP member complaining about his details being made public and complaining "What kind of fascist state are we living in?" Does the moron not realise that a fascist state is just what we would be living in if his bunch of cretins were ever to be elected. Priceless.

yes priceless indeed. I had tried to take a look at the list but couldn't find it, though I did find a site that showed there were 5 members within the EX5 postcode...here's hoping that means the Broadclyst meeting proved fruitless. From all of this list fiasco, it's been made apparent to me (happily) that the majority of our population think the BNP are a bunch of mindless, racist eejits!!!

The BNP whinging about having their details made public is priceless. I dont ever recall any BNPer protesting about the fact that opponents details, and photographs, are published on the Redwatch site. What goes around comes around.

I believe that this list originates from a group of BNPers who were expelled last year by the leader, Nick Griffin. One explanation for why this list has been made public now is that in a few weeks Griffin is taking some of these people including Kenny Smith and Sadie Graham to court to recover the list which he knew they had. They can now argue that the list is not secret because its now in the public domain, although the courts may take a dim view of their actions if this is the case.

Finally, not everyone on that list maybe exactly what they seem.Contacts of mine who know a thing or two, suispect that several of those named are, in fact, working for 'the other side', so to speak.
