I have added some photos from yesterdays street market. Others will be following and there will be a written report. probably tomorrow. Luckily the weather made a dramatic improvement and a good time seemed to be had by all.
Well done on this blog and the swift posting of the street market photos. This village is in need of a forum/window on our life here, so many other villages in our locale have great websites. Good on you for starting the ball rolling!!!
And how great was the market this year!! A whole lot of fun and great weather to boot!!!
Excellent Street Market! And, was it just me, were there less stalls selling old tat? Well done organisers. On a more serious topic. Some people moaned about the entry charge. I personally think it was OK and less than a pint of Sweeney Todd for helping our community, but there were complaints. Should we look at this in the future or be grateful it deters the mean!
I dont know if it does deter the meanies. I suspect that, if they fork out two quid to get in, they just wonder up the street and gawp at the stalls. A lot of people still just have an objection to paying out money to walk up their own main street, even if it is a voluntary donation.
